Document Types
To understand the workings of the application it is important to be familiar with the HCImage proprietary document types:
- Image Documents (.tif and .dcimg) refer to a single or sequence of uncompressed images saved as TIFF files (.tif), MPTIFF files (.tif) or DCAM Image files (.dcimg).
- Data Documents (.cxd) can also contain Image Data. Thus, data documents provide a way to manage and organize multiple images. Image Data within a Data Document can be manipulated in the same ways as Image Data in an Image Document.
- Summary Documents (.cxs) are basically containers for Data Documents. They provide a way to manage and organize multiple Data Documents.
- Workfile Documents (.enh) are specific to HCImage IPA and Analysis. Workfiles contain the steps for the processing and measurement of images for particular applications. The instructions can be saved and reloaded for routine operation.
